With this unit, you can easily scan each environment you’re in for EMF safety levels.
Its super-sensitive RF alarm mode will allow you to walk around with the meter for hours. When the audible alarm mode is turned ON, the meter will alert you, with beep sound, whenever you are in a high RF environment or close to an RF source like mobile cell towers.
Like many of the more expensive EMF meters, its high-frequency range is extremely good: 100MHz to 8GHz. This means that it will even pick up the lower band of the 5G spectrum.

- ◄Is this a single-axis or 3-axis meter?
- This is a single axis Gauss meter. This means that you have to hold it in all three positions (X, Y and Z axes) wherever you are measuring to find the highest value. Otherwise, you may miss the true magnetic field reading. However, once you get the hang of using a single-axis Gauss meter, it is just as useful as a three-axis Gauss meter.
- ◄Does this EMF meter detect 5G?
- The 5G cellular network will consist of different modules. It is evolving and currently operate at:
- around 700 MHz
- around 2 GHz
- around 3 to 4 GHz
These are called the 5G low and mid bands. Eventually, higher frequencies (above 20GHz) are planned to be used as well, but there are still technological difficulties using them at present, and will probably take a few more years before they will be implemented and rolled out.
The ENV RD-10 covers the currently used low and mid bands of the 5G network as part of its measuring range.
There are no affordable (<$1000 USD) EMF meters in the market today that can measure 5G millimeter wave signals in the band above 20 GHz.
The ENV RD-10 adequately detects 4G LTE RF signal from a small cell antenna with a 4G transmitter. New 5G signals from any updated 4G LTE small cell transmitter below 8 GHZ will be picked up by the ENV RD-10. - ◄Is this EMF meter calibrated?
