    Eye Health
Corneal alkali injury often causes extensive damage to the ocular surface and the whole anterior eye segment leading to partial or total vision loss. Treating the cornea with hydrogen solution significantly reduced angiogenesis (blood vessel growth) after alkali-burn injury in rabbits, indicating that hydrogen therapy may prevent blindness caused by chemical burns of the eye. [Animal Study]

This study reported that immediate antioxidant therapy with H2-enriched irrigation solution is a new potent treatment of angiogenesis (blood vessel growth) in cornea to prevent blindness in mice caused by alkali burn. [Animal Study]

The results of this study suggested that by rapid diffusion, Molecular Hydrogen (H2)-loaded eye drops are a highly useful neuroprotective and antioxidative therapeutic treatment for acute retinal injury in rats. [Animal Study]
    Metabolism and Weight Loss
This study reported that taking a hydrogen-rich water bath helps hydrogen permeate into the body from the skin and improves the visceral fat area, the lipid metabolic markers as well as skin blotches. Cellulite formation is considered to be suppressed by the inhibitory effect of hydrogen on the formation of lipid droplets, oxidative stress, and excessive oxidation. [Study]
    Muscle and Joint Performance
High-intensity eccentric exercise can cause Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS), a short-term condition characterized by muscle damage and tenderness that might hold up recovery and jeopardize exercise routine. This study demonstrates that the whole-body bathing in supersaturated Hydrogen-rich water is a safe protocol that attenuates muscular damage and can ease sore muscles after high-intensity eccentric exercise for active young men. [Study]

The traditional treatment of soft tissue injuries consists of the RICE protocol - rest, ice, compression, and elevation, followed for up to 72 hours after a trauma. Although designed as an immediate therapy to reduce inflammation that occurs after an acute injury, the RICE protocol might not be the best way to promote healing due to limiting blood flow.
This case report of an elite professional athlete has indicated that an acute multi-session hydrotherapy with hydrogen-rich water might be a helpful treatment in terms of pain, swelling reduction and regaining range of motion after an ankle sprain. [Case Report]

Soft tissue injuries (STIs) and musculoskeletal injuries (MSK-Is) have the potential to cause numerous long-lasting consequences, such as permanent damage to the soft tissue or nerves, or increased rate of degeneration.
A 7-day case study evaluating the effect of H2 immersion therapy in waters containing 8.0 ppm on traumatic injuries sustained to the proximal phalanges of the 5th toe of a kickboxer saw a rapid reduction in pain and inflammation, whilst improvements in range of motion and ability to bear weight were also noted. [Case Report]

This trial supports the use of Hydrogen-rich water ankle baths as an effective choice in Acute Ankle Sprain (AAS) management. [Trial Report]
    Skin and Hair
This study reported that taking a hydrogen-rich water bath helps hydrogen permeate into the body from the skin and improves the visceral fat area, the lipid metabolic markers as well as skin blotches. The lightening and size-reduction of the spots and the improved skin quality are considered to be largely atrributed to the Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS)-scavenging ability of the hydrogen-rich water bath. [Study]

Psoriasis and parapsoriasis en plaques are chronic inflammatory skin diseases, both representing therapeutic challenge in daily practice and adversely affecting the quality of life.
Bathing in hydrogen water has shown to positively impact psoriasis in this clinical study and patients with psoriasis and parapsoriasis en plaques who were treated with hydrogen-water bathing therapy achieved significant and rapid improvement in disease severity and quality of life. [Clinical Study]

This study demonstrated the improvement by hydrogen-containing warm water on fingertip-capillary blood streams, skin moisture, and cleansing of the keratin-plug-clogged hair-pores versus using normal warm water. [Study]

Molecular hydrogen is considered a novel antioxidant for combating oxidative damage in skin and promoting a youthful appearance. By bathing daily for 3 months in H2-water (0.2 - 0.4 ppm H2), Japanese subjects showed significant improvements in neck wrinkles at the end of the 90-day bathing sessions.
This same publication examined the ability of H2-enriched water to stimulate production of type-1 collagen in skin fibroblasts and keratinocytes after UVA-exposure. They found that type-1 collagen synthesis was increased over 2-fold after 3 - 5 days in the H2-enriched water samples compared to controls. [Study].

Molecular hydrogen water bath with high-density nano-bubbles has beneficial effects on serum antioxidant capacity, inflammation, and the skin appearance as indicated in this study. [Study].

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Molecular Hydrogen?
What is the big deal with molecular hydrogen?
Hydrogen is the first element on the periodic table, and it is the lightest molecule in the universe. Research over the years have established that molecular hydrogen is a very powerful antioxidant.

As the smallest antioxidant, hydrogen offers a distinct advantage. More than any other antioxidant, hydrogen readily diffuses into every organ and cell in the body which allows maximum availability for achieving antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy effects. The size feature allows for protection in the subcellular compartments and scavenge cytotoxic oxygen radicals, thus protecting the DNA, RNA and proteins from oxidative stress.

Additionally, hydrogen is selective. When molecular hydrogen enters the human body, it searches out dangerous free radicals and neutralizes them by giving them an extra electron they need. This then creates a by-product H2O, which is actually beneficial and needed by our bodies. In this way, hydrogen prevents imbalances which can occur with other antioxidants.
What are the health benefits of H2?
As the most powerful antioxidant there is, hydrogen offers many health benefits - from anti-aging to anti-cancer. Today, there are over 1000+ peer-reviewed research and studies on molecular hydrogen's effects on over 170 disease models. Please refer to the Research tab on this page for more resources.
How safe is H2? Is there any risk of overdose?
H2 is very safe and the risk of overdose is nil. Research demonstrates that there is an amount of H2 that is not enough but there is not an amount that appears to be too much or too high. This is due to the fact that our lungs will simply exhale the excess. H2 does not build up in our system. H2 for ingestion purposes, has an extremely high safety profile.
Hydrogen Intake Methods - Bathing, Soaking and Skin Exposure
What are the H2 intake options currently available for consumers?
For at home use, the most widely available intake options today are: H2 gas dissolved in water for drinking, soaking or bathing and H2 inhalation.
What are the Pro’s and Con’s of each intake method?
All intake methods are very beneficial. Based on the latest research, we share which organs and systems benefit most for each intake method. Drinking H2 water benefits metabolic systems most. Inhaling H2 benefits respiratory system, circulatory and cardiovascular systems most. Soaking and Bathing obviously benefits the skin and hair the most.
What is the best intake method recommended by experts?
Experts recommend to use all intake methods in combination for the most benefits. Specifically, research has shown that the combination of drinking hydrogen water and inhaling hydrogen had the most potent effects on signaling pathways and gene expression compared to exclusive use of either method alone.
Q-Mist: How to Use
What type of water should I use with the Q-Mist?
For best hydrogen and antioxidant moisturizing experience it is highly recommended to use Q-Mist with mineral water or regular tap water. However, do not use sparkling mineral water, thermal water, any aromatic oils, hot water over 50C, soda and salty liquids. In addition, avoid using distilled water or RO (Reverse Osmosis) water with no minerals which could be difficult to generate high quality hydrogen water.
Does it have an SPE and PEM filter to ensure it does not actually make chlorine?
The Q-Mist is not built with SPE/PEM electrodes. However, the power consumption to this unit is very small; there will hardly be any chlorine detected through the electrolysis process.
How do I refill it?
Just twist the cap off by turning counter clockwise, fill the tank with water, and replace the cap.
How often can I use the Q-Mist?
You can use the Q-Mist anytime, anywhere to get the full benefits of the hydrogen-rich ultrasonic mist for your skin. Hydrogen water originates from Japan and is recognized in many circles to be a fountain of youth that is backed by numerous medical research.
Can I use the Q-Mist after I apply makeup?
Yes, you can. Before you apply makeup, hold the Q-Mist in an area about 5 cm distance from your face. After applying makeup, hold the Q-Mist in an area about 10 cm distance from your face.
I just bought my Q-Mist and it is now fully charged. Why is there no mist coming out?
In some cases you just need to kickstart the unit one time only. Connect it to the USB again and slide down to switch on and release the mist.
Why is my Q-Mist slider difficult to slide? It seems stuck and won't budge.
In some cases the slider just needs a little more pressure initially to slide down. But it loosens up with every use (about 10 usages). If it simply won't budge, please contact us.
Q-Mist: Impact and Effectiveness

Love it! So refreshing and I've actually seen a difference in my skin!

Recommended this from a family member and I love it so much! It's not only refreshing, but I've also been seeing improvements to my skin! I've been using it heavily around my breakout areas and I find it helps clear them out in a few days! It's so perfect too for a refreshing spray throughout the day and love that it's also been helping my skin! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to try this for the first time! Can't wait to continue using this as a part of my routine.

Have been using every day since I bought it!

This was my first time trying a hydrogen mister and I am a firm believer in it now! Not only is it reusable, it feels very different than just spraying normal water on your face. This is a very fine mist so you can spray a good amount and not have it drip down. I use it before my serum and it helps it absorb much better. Amazing for moisture. It's also great over makeup because it doesn't wipe anything off! Hydrogen is one of our body's natural antioxidants so this is one of the best "nutrients" you can give your skin. I use it every day and will continue doing so. Thanks for an amazing product!
